REACH PROGRAMS  

REACH provides human services to children of all ages, adults, and seniors. REACH works to provide a balanced approach to addressing human service needs that includes counseling, crisis intervention, support programs and services that help build individual, family and community assets and strengths. Individuals, families and the community as a whole have expressed feeling ease and comfort in being able to seek help locally.

 

Individual and Family Counseling with six therapists from six different agencies providing professional counseling four days a week. Therapists work with children and adults in a wide variety of areas including improving parent/child interactions and personal relationships, behavior problems, communication, conflict resolution, dependency, addictions, depression, grieving, attention deficit disorder, sexual, physical and emotional abuse.

Family Support provides comprehensive, holistic assessment and case management for families functioning under conditions of severe stress. These families often have multiple needs and are unaware of how to access available services to assist them in times of crisis. Families and individuals are encouraged to actively participate in their own wellness and to stay linked to others in their community. 

Information and Referral for persons seeking services available through other community agencies. The local community has come to rely on REACH as a source of advice and consultation for dealing with unique situations that range from child care, housing, and financial needs to suicide and other crisis intervention.

Dress for Success® Northwest Minnesota helps low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce by providing free confidence boosting suits and dressing tips. Women also receive career development and job retention skills through membership in the Professional Women's Group.

Food Shelf provides families in need with a 3 day supply of food on a monthly basis and special holiday baskets 3 times a year.

REACH Reusables Thrift Store provides area residents with affordable clothing, household goods and miscellaneous items. The store also serves as a clearinghouse for distribution of free goods to individuals and families facing hardship situations.

Education/Informational Workshops are offered periodically on a variety of individual and family topics including parent education, stress management, health, aging, childcare, addictions, career development and support groups.

Volunteer Services offers opportunities for area youth and adults to contribute to their community through volunteerism.  

Computer Access is available to clients and the public for resume writing, and internet access for housing, employment, financial management and email.
